
Doctor of Engineering for the doctoral program in Energy and Machinery of the Polytechnic University of Madrid. Full Professor at the Polytechnic University of Madrid and Professor at the University of Valladolid, with 30 years of teaching experience in electrical, energy and automatic installations applied to the agri-food sector.
He is the author of more than 180 publications, in national and international journals and books, and has participated in more than 120 R+D+i projects.
He holds 15 patents and intellectual property registrations, has been awarded 10 research awards and has directed 11 Doctoral Theses. During his time as Vice-Rector of the University of Valladolid, he was in charge of the implementation of the Sustainable Mobility Plan of that University, and collaborated in the drafting and implementation of the comprehensive mobility plans of the Municipalities of Valladolid (400,000 inhabitants) and Palencia (78,000 inhabitants).
He is coordinator of the Ibero-American Network of Transport and Sustainable Urban Mobility (RITMUS) of the CYTED Program (Ibero-American Program of Science and Technology for Development) since 2018, and members of the CYTED REDIENE (Ibero-American Energy Network), CITIES (Ibero-American Network of Fully Integral, Efficient and Sustainable Smart Cities) and TRAPECIO (Enabling Technologies for Nearly Zero Buildings in Ibero-America) networks.
