NEXUS AGENDA
NEXUS Agenda has the ambition to promote an Agenda around logistics and transport networks, focused on innovating, developing, demonstrating and initiating the valorization and exploration of products and services, with strong export potential, and which address the main challenges and gaps identified in logistics.
The NEXUS Agenda will create an ecosystem of 31 products and services for the Green and Digital Transition in the transport and logistics sectors. At the center of this ecosystem, the core product, is the NEXUS OPEN DATA COLLABORATION PLATAFORM, comprising a set of applications and services.
Each of these products will have its digital representation (digital twin), aimed at sharing and receiving data, aimed at improving the performance of operations.

The DGTMP2024 conference will be hosted by University of Évora and Ports of Sines and the Algarve Authority, at Portugal.
University of Évora is part of portuguese history, created with the consent of Pope Paul IV in April 1559. University of Évora is a public higher education center for creation, transmission and diffusion of culture, science and technology, which, through the articulation of study, teaching and research, is integrated into the life of society.
Port of Sines Authority was created in 1977 and endowed the management and exploitation of the Port of Sines, whose construction had begun in 1973. Among its responsibilities, the company aims at managing, develop and maintain the Port of Sines; perform studies and plans within the scope of maritime and land developments and port equipment; to build, purchase, preserve and surveil maritime and land developments, as well as the port’s land and floating equipment and coordination, surveillance and regulating of the activities performed inside its jurisdiction area.
University of Évora and Ports of Sines and the Algarve Authority are promoting the NEXUS International Conference: Digital and Green Transition in Maritime Ports: Trends and Challenges (DGTMP 2024) on December 10, 11, 12 e 13, 2024, at Évora and Sines, Portugal.
Within the scope of the Nexus Agenda Innovation Pact, under the Portuguese RRP, the presented NEXUS International Conference aims to exchange advances, research and trends in the areas of digital logistics and sustainable mobility in seaports, crucial for the development of an increasingly efficient and competitive port activity.
Throughout this conference, will be explored the latest trends, technologies and strategies that are revolutionizing the way ports infrastructures are operated and managed.
Digital logistics provides the tools to optimize processes, reduce costs and improve the traceability of goods. From warehouse automation to intelligent management of terminals, gates and containers, digitalization is transforming the supply chain and enabling greater agility in ports. On the other hand, sustainable mobility and the green transition have become an unavoidable priority. The electrification of ports, the energy transition, fuel substitution and emission reductions are essential to ensure a cleaner and more resilient future.
The Ibero-American Science and Technology for Development Program (CYTED) is an initiative created by the governments of Ibero-American countries, with the aim of promoting cooperation in science, technology, and innovation for the harmonious development of the region, by means of CYTED Thematic Networks with transversal areas related to sustainability. Within its thematic areas, the purposes of Energy networks are to contribute to access to clean technologies and sustainable development in the energy area.
The NEXUS International Conference is joined by the Ibero-American Cooperation Networks within the scope of the CYTED program, RITMUS (Ibero-American Network for Sustainable Urban Transport and Mobility), RIMSGES (Ibero-American Research Network on Sustainable Energy Management System Models) and TRAPECIO (Ibero-American Network on Enabling Technologies for Near-Zero Energy Buildings in Ibero-America). These networks include more than 300 researchers from Universities, Research Centers, Administration and Companies from more than 18 Ibero-American countries, such as Portugal, Spain, Brazil, Guatemala, Ecuador, Honduras, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Colombia, Venezuela, Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Perú, Panamá, Uruguay, Cuba and Paraguay. Nexus International Conference will host meetings and seminars of these three Ibero-American Cooperation Networks, to analyse the challenges of the energy generation and use for the next decades.
